SPU welcomes Andrew Thalmann on drums!

Get on people, we hope things are going great for you out there in Unicorn Land. It's been a period of upheaval for the band with our drummer Dan heading off to rainier shores but his place on the skins has been filled by the powerhouse Andrew Thalmann, a well-respected local badass with a reputation for raw power and driving beats. SPU now enters a short period of rebuilding while Andrew brings his own flair and style to the songs, and we'll be seeing you again for gigs from May onwards.

Long live the rock.

Peacefully Levitating in Studio and on Stage

Hey kids, this is Sean reporting from the studio with the latest SPU news.  We're in the process of recording Sam's track Peaceful Levitation - we've got all the vocals down, the bass, and Chris's guitar.  All I've got to do is program some drums, put down my guitar parts, get a decent mix together, and it's ready to go.

Here's the view from the pilot's seat, if you're interested:

Yeah, I don't know what most of that shit does, either.  Anyway, here's a Facebook video of the song in question from our gig on May 31st.

And there's more where that came from.  Watch this space.
